The Team

We are a small diverse team of professionals with outstanding skill sets and experience in public health, economic development, mindset change, health advocacy, communication and social mobilization, gender and human rights, environmental sustainability, promoting partnerships for development, PRINCE2 Practitioners as well as legal practitioners. As a team, We love what we do and from the health perspective most of us have directly or indirectly suffered from TB and HIV/AIDS. Some have experienced diverse effects of HIV/AIDS, and this is why we do it with passion . Our priority is the vision of KUBORESHA- AFRICA LIMITED and the KAL Consortium that  underpins community ownership in service delivery. We look forward to working with communities as custodians in ending the disease burden in Uganda and across Africa. Starting with Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, and Botswana.

Mr Roger Paul K. Rwamushanju : CEO KAL Consortium Africa and National Coordinator of the KAL Consortium in Uganda.                                                                 A Global Civil Society advocate on TB, HIV/AIDS, Malaria and non communicable diseases. He lost a wife and Son to TB and HIV/AIDS and this was the beginning of his journey in public health. Has worked at the forefront of Global Health in the Civil Society docket and serves on several international Boards and Committees. He successfully mobilized Civil Society towards the first United Nations High Level Meeting on TB in New York in 2018. Paul mobilized African Parliaments in the formation of the Africa TB Caucus and Parliamentary TB Caucuses across the continent. He is an Investigative and Science Journalist and Health Fellow at CNS. He is a WHO Global External Expert. Paul was recently appointed to serve on the Community Advisory Board of the University of California at San Francisco – Tuberculosis Research Advancement Center (UTRAC). Paul founded KUBORESHA-AFRICA and the KAL Consortium Africa with headquarters in Uganda. He is the CEO and Regional Coordinator of the KAL Consortium Africa.

Dr Lydia Mungherera-Global/Regional/National Advocacy Officer

Dr Lydia Mungherera is a Medical Doctor and Global Policy & Advocacy Officer at Kuboresha -Africa Limited and proud founder of Mamas Club in Uganda. Dr Lydia is a noteworthy face in the TB and TB/HIV fight. She has been a peer educator since 1998 and brings a wealthy of expertise and experience. She has lived positively with HIV and survived TB. She is a treatment, gender and human rights activist for HIV positive women. She is a Co-founder of the Athena Network and Pan-African Coalition of Women Living with HIV/AIDS. A key civil society representative who has engaged in developing and revising HIV guidelines with UNAIDSand WHO Geneva since 2003. Lydia is passionate about the sexual and reproductive health rights of mothers living with HIV and TB Survivors and brings a wealthy of expertise and experience to the senior executive team at Kuboresha-Africa Limited leading the expansion drive of Kuboresha-Africa to four SADC countries that include Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa and Botswana. Mungherera started working in communities in 1998 and has served on numerous international boards and committees, She pioneered male engagement in HIV and TB interventions in Uganda, an innovation that is being rolled out in Sub Saharan Africa.

Ms Diana Kabanyonza

Diana is the Human Resource Manager at KAL Consortium Uganda after years of excellent professional prowess with DFCU Bank where she resigned with a choice to serve communities as her passion. She is passionate about the Kuboresha -Africa’s Mission. She has led the initiative of focusing on widows an area that has been neglected for decades. Diana is a dedicated and compassionate Social worker with a profound commitment to fostering positive change in individuals and communities. With a Master’s degree in social work and over a decade of hands-on experience, Diana has honed her skills in addressing complex social issues and providing support to those in need. Her passion for social justice and advocacy is evident in her tireless efforts to empower marginalized populations and promote inclusivity. Throughout her career, she has demonstarted exceptional proficiency in case management,Counselling and community outreach collaborating with various organizations and government agencies to develop and implement programs that address the unique challenges faced by Vulnerable populations. She bring a wealthy of skillsets to Kuboresha-Africa Limited as Head of Programs.

Ms Catherine Nasasira

Catherine Nasasira is the Human Resource Manager – With a proven track record in talent acquisition, having successfully recruited and onboarded top-tier talent for several organizations. Catherine’s expertise extends to employee relations and perfromance management, where she has consistently implemented strategies that align with organization goals. Catherine is passionate about fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace and her efforts have resulted in more inclusive and cohesive teams. Her excellent communication skills and approachable demeanor make her a trusted resource for employees seeking guidance. Catherine stays at the forefront of HR trends and best practices, ensuring that her strategies are not only effective but also forward-thinking with a results-driven mindset, she has implemented successful employee development programs and streamlined HR processes, making her a valuable asset to Kuboresha-Africa Limited in optimizing human capital for success.

Ms Eunice Gumisiriza

Eunice is an accomplished Finance Officer, an ACCA Practitioner with years of experience in managing non profit grants and setting up financial systems. She is well versed with financial planning and budgeting. Adept in creating and delivering financial reports. Dedicated with a strong background in financial forecasting and analysis. Skilled in developing and administering finacial plans. She brings a wealthy of experience to Kuboresha-Africa Limited.

Ms Portia Brea Kembabazi – Analyst: Digital Communications and Policy Advocacy

Brea is a young and profoundly exposed expert in digital health communications and is an all rounder in the non profit sector, adding value to the KUBORESHA Vision..
